Nursing Faculty Positions – EMU

Eastern Mennonite University is seeking applicants for Full-time MSN (School Nursing) and RN-BS Nursing Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty Position. MSN required. Ph.D. or DNP preferred. Experience in Pennsylvania (PA) school nursing, familiarity with PA school nurse regulations and nursing education experience preferred. Position begins July 2019 or sooner. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open. Twelve‑month contract. Salary determined by education and experience.

This individual will have offices at the EMU Lancaster PA site. This position is ½ time teaching and coordinating the online MSN school nursing track (graduate division) and ½ time teaching in the RN-BS program (undergraduate division). Teaching in the RN to BS program involves both fully online and hybrid delivered courses. Course topics available for teaching are based on the experience of the candidate as well as needs within the program.

The School Nurse Coordinator will teach the 3 school nursing courses for meeting PA Department of Education requirements for Level 1 School Nurse certification. Coordination responsibilities include student recruiting, assisting with the admissions, maintaining academic plans, planning and implementing orientation, arranging practicum experiences, developing relationships with school districts and local school nurse groups, and maintaining curriculum current with the PDE requirements. This person will work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team with the MSN Director and Administrative support staff in Virginia – thus needs to be very comfortable teaching with students and collaborating with peers in an online environment across multiple locations.
