Annual Gathering Goes VIRTUAL for 2021
Save the Date: September 17-20, 2021
After much reflection, prayer, and hearing from our membership — we have made the decision to gather virtually this year for Annual Gathering. With remaining uncertainty around the pandemic, while we felt we could host a safe gathering, we did not feel we could guarantee enough attendance or diversity of speakers for an in-person gathering to meet the minimums required to be fiscally responsible in-person or to put on a truly high quality event.
Save the Date: September 17-20, 2021
Our virtual gathering will not be attempting to replace in-person gathering, and will have a light schedule of drop-in “Coffee chat” type networking events, prayer groups, “Ethics for Breakfast” roundtable ethics discussion and more. Our main goal will be facilitating interactive events and meaningful connection!
We plan to spread events out over the weekend, and provide lots of opportunities for folks to both see their friends and long-time colleagues, and meet new providers and brothers and sisters in this journey of Faith and Health!
We will not hold Sunday Morning worship, but will strive to make each event we hold worshipfull. We encourage you to worship with your own Congregation, while bringing a special message and prayers requests from MHF to your home church.
The highlight for the weekend will be Saturday Morning when MHF will host, thanks to a generous grant from Mennonite Health Services, a 2-hour training directly geared towards health professionals:
Introduction to Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience for Cultural Competence, Racial Healing and Equity (STAR)
This will be in partnership with the Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute and will be open to all current MHF members!
Registration for Virtual Gathering will open in July
We welcome all MHF members to register for Annual Gathering when Registration Opens in July 2021. Watch your mailbox!
Please consider giving generously to help fund a wonderful, in-person “comeback” Annual Gathering in 2022!
Suggested donation for the weekend will be $80. For Saturday’s training only the suggested donation is $30.
