Family Physician Opening

A family practice physician is needed for a well-established medical center in Mt. Eaton, Ohio. The current physician is retirement age and is phasing out. He has practiced for 40 years in the area, primarily serving the Plain community (Amish and Mennonite).

The center is committed to serving the Plain community and will operate on a self-pay basis. Insurances, Medicaid, and Medicare will not be billed. Others who desire the services and agree to pay for them are welcome.

The physician must provide services such as suturing, x-rays, casting, and other minor procedures. The practice can include obstetrics, if so desired. A Plain community birthing center is located within one mile and there is the possibility of hospital deliveries as well.

The center is operated by a non-profit organization and provides administrative oversight. Call will be shared with another physician in the building. Salary and benefits will be competitive.

Mt. Eaton is in rural northeast Ohio just south of Wooster (16 miles), Canton (22 miles), and Cleveland (60 miles).
