Programs and Service Opportunities
Your healthcare skills in service to ChristMission Statement
The mission of Mennonite Healthcare Fellowship (MHF) is to be an interdisciplinary community of Anabaptist health professionals which seeks to nurture the integration of faith and practice, to provide opportunities for dialogue on health related issues, and to address specific needs through education, advocacy, and service.
Service Opportunities
MHF is building on a rich legacy of outreach to the world in the name of Christ. Opportunities to share time, skills, and financial resources are highlighted in the following sections:
- Service Opportunities
See the new announcements page for special service opportunities available. MHF members are encouraged to share such opportunities as they become aware of them. Send your announcements to the MHF Office. - Student Elective Term (SET)
SET educational grants are provided persons studying for any healthcare profession and in a masters or doctoral level program to learn and serve in cross-cultural mission/service settings in developing countries. - Steven Roth Memorial Grant Program
Grants are available each year for service projects in which an MHF member is personally involved. These projects typically involve a period of service in a cross-cultural setting in a developing country. - Mary Jean Yoder Memorial Endowment Fund
A separate fund administered by Mennonite Mission Network and Mennonite Foundation which gives grants for students and projects connected with Mennonite churches in developing countries. - Anabaptist Center for Healthcare Ethics (ACHE)
ACHE is a cooperative program with other Mennonite agencies to promote the study and resource sharing on the issues of Christian healthcare ethics.
If you have questions about any of these service opportunities, please contact the MHF Office.
Special Note about Mobilization for Mission
As of September 2016, MHF has integrated what was previously a separate Mobilization for Mission Fund into its overall Missional Budget Plan to which members generously contribute to make possible scholarships, grants, programs, and projects to further healthcare-related mission work in the church.
